Salpa is a bonded leather fibre material made by a process of finely milling vegetable tanned leather scraps and adding natural fat and latex as a binder. Salpa is popular as a natural material for reinforcement in bags, belts, watch straps, clutches, wallets, books and other small leather goods.

Application by:

Spatula, sponge, spray gun, roller machine.

Characteristics:

Ideal for coupling and folding leather, eco-leather, fabrics, covers, cardboards, for producing bags, belts, wallets, uppers, etc.

Instructions for use:

When applied on one side, couple and press while the glue is still wet. When applied on both sides, coupling can be done immediately, either after 3 minutes or up to several hours.

Open Time:

Up to 2-4 hours, depending on the amount of adhesive used and on the kind of support.

Remarks:

If the open time is exceeded, bonding can be made after having warmed up at 60°C the material to bond.

Water based adhesive ideal for coupling leather, eco-leather, fabrics, covers, cardboards. Ideal for gluing PVC, EVA, nylon and ready made rubbers. Ideal for gluing greasy leather with presence of grease up to 15%.

Instructions for use:

Apply ECOSTICK ® 1816B on both sides. Let it dry. To work without preheating the adhesive, couple both sides within 20 minutes after drying and press. Otherwise, if this time is exceeded, reactivate at 60°-70°, couple and press. The adhesive can be applied on one side to couple leather with textiles, moltoprene, foam rubber: apply plenty of ECOSTICK ® 1816B on leather or on material that does not absorb and couple immediately.

Open Time:

Cold bonding: up to 20 min. after the adhesive is dried.

Reactivation by heating: within 48 hours.

Description:

The Color Set includes 9 colors of leather edge paint in 100ml package. These colours have been chosen to provide a wide chromatic range from lighter to darker tones.

How to use:

Prepare the edges: Ensure the leather edges are clean, smooth, and free from dust or debris.

Apply the paint: Apply even coats using a edge paint applicator.

Allow to dry: Let the paint dry completely between coats. Typically, two coats are sufficient for optimal coverage and durability.

Burnish (optional): For an even smoother and more polished finish, burnish the edges with a canvas cloth or edge slicker once the paint is fully dry.

Tips:

For best adhesion, allow the paint to cure for at least 48 hours after application.  

If using a machine applicator, adjust the speed and pressure to achieve the desired finish.

Clean any spills or excess paint immediately with a damp cloth.
